Truckee Meadows Water Authority, TMWA (2015-ongoing)

Precision works closely with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) to provide technical assistance to improve the management of TMWA's water supply within the Truckee System. This includes regular support on water supply decisions given forecast outlooks and evaluating impacts of potential water supply strategy changes. Precision provides TMWA with tools that allow the organization to easily make Truckee/Carson RiverWare® Planning Model runs with future water right, groundwater yield, and other system parameters scenarios utilizing either index-sequential historical hydrology, climate change hydrology ensembles, or synthetic hydrology sequences. Model results are then summarized in a concise intuitive manner to allow TMWA personnel to review the results and revise the scenarios as necessary. TMWA utilized these tools to complete the water supply analysis for their 2015-2035 and 2020-2040 Water Resource Plans.
