Saskatchewan Water Security Agency Integrated Modeling System (2023 - Ongoing)

Precision has subcontracted with Stantec, Inc to build an Integrated Modeling System (IMS) for the Water Security Agency in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a part of the IMS, Precision is developing a suite of RiverWare© Models that will allow regional water managers to more thoroughly manage the system of canals and reservoirs that convey deliveries from Lake Diefenbaker on the South Saskatchewan and Qu'Appelle Rivers. This suite of RiverWare© models will allow stakeholders in the basin to:

  • Perform long term planning studies to determine delivery capacity of the system under various scenarios including differing hydrologic conditions and levels of future development.

  • Analyze annual operations by testing "what-if" scenarios to schedule seasonal delivery of water allocations.

  • Conduct real-time operations and react efficiently to changing conditions in the system.

Ultimately, Precision will wrap the RiverWare© Models into RiverWISE to allow for streamlined stakeholder interaction.
